The trick to designing a good art pedestal is to not outshine the piece that is being displayed, but to compliment it. This sculpture of a snowshoer was donated to the local hospital, so I designed the pedestal to accentuate the theme. The granite panels represent the hard mountain she is climbing while the turned Aspen urn shape resembles the powder she is trekking through.
